PRIVACY

The short version: we keep what we need to run your cells, and nothing else.

What we store

• Your email address, to identify you and send login codes.
• Your cells and files: handlers, file names, types, sizes, and the files themselves.
• A hit counter per file: just a number of how many times it was opened. We don't record who opened it, their IP address, or when.
• Login codes, kept only as a hash and only until they expire (5 minutes) or are used.

Cookies

A single session cookie keeps you logged in. We don't use analytics, advertising or third-party trackers.

How files are protected

Uploaded files are encrypted on disk, with a key tied to your account and cell. They are decrypted only to serve them, which happens when someone requests a file from a cell and file you've left online. Anything you've made reachable is public to whoever has the address.

Deleting things

Deleting a file removes it from storage. Deleting a cell removes the cell and all of its files. Your email is used for nothing but logging you in.
